LPD looking for suspect involved in incident at local phone repair store

Suspect allegedly took merchandise, dragged owner by vehicle while fleeing scene

Lafayette Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect involved in an incident at a phone repair store Saturday morning.

According to police, the suspect entered the iPhone Repair 4 Less at 431 E. Pont des Mouton at 11:45 a.m. Saturday. He selected a phone from the store and fled from the business, but was chased by the store owner.

The owner had the suspect in his grasp as the suspect entered his vehicle, then police say the suspect drove off while dragging the victim.

The suspect was observed operating a 4-door silver Honda Accord.
