Since last week, the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association (LOGA) has been hosting its annual 2019 State of the Industry (SOI) series across the state.
Today, the presentation, given by LOGA President Gifford Briggs, was held in Lafayette.
The featured topic for discussion was the oil and gas industry, how outside influences have affected the sector, and the role that the October election may have on the small oil and gas producers in Louisiana.
The State of the Industry presentatinos "provide critical information Louisiana oil and gas executives need to plan for the future," according to the organization.
Briggs offered a rundown on legislation, elections, and regulations all impacting the industry. Participants also had the opportunity to network with their peers.
The next event wil be tomorrow in Houma at 11 a.m. at the Courtyard Marriott. The last one wil be Wednesday in Baton Rouge at Juban's Restaurant at 11 a.m.
