On Monday, Second Harvest Food Bank hosted a group of volunteers for a day of service.
At the facility in Lafayette, volunteers from Blue Cross took the day to help reach the goal of 10,000 meals donated to Second Harvest to help the needy in Acadiana.
This event was held as part of the national MLK Days of Service in which millions of Americans spend the holiday donating their time to making a difference in their communities.
The Feed the Funnel with Pack Shack event aims at packing healthy meals for nonprofits across the country.
