Freedom World Ministries in Lafayette is helping their community fight the spread of COVID-19.
On Wednesday, the church hosted a mobile testing location on Delorde Street from 10 to 12 pm. About 30 tests were available for those who met the criteria to be tested.
These tests were in conjunction with the Southwest Primary Healthcare in Opelousas.
"It's not about just packing out a building or large gatherings," explained Pastor Lawrence Levy. "It's about the welfare of those that we connect to. So at the end of the day, I want them to know that they are safe. I want them to know that we are safe and we are clean. And we are going to continue to press on."
