LAFAYETTE, La. — The Lafayette Consolidated Government have released more details on the 99 employees, including 22 full-time and 77 part-time, who will be laid off on June 5.
LCG announced on May 22 that several emergency workforce reductions at several of its sites across Lafayette due to COVID-19. That includes those who work at the Acadiana Nature Station, the Science Museum, three Senior Centers and the Heymann Center.
The three LCG Senior Centers are the Greenhouse, the Art Studio and the Rosehouse.
Those laid off positions include:
- Accounting Clerk: 9 temporary casual
- Accounting Specialist: 1 active full-time
- Cashier: 1 active full-time
- Clerk III: 1 active full-time
- Clerk Typist: 2 active full-time
- Event Laborer I: 2 temporary casual
- Event Laborer II: 6 temporary casual
- Event Laborer III: 16 temporary casual
- Event Supervisor II: 3 temporary casual
- Exhibit Guide: 2 temporary casual, 1 active full-time
- Group Sales Coordinator: 1 temporary casual
- Janitor: 1 temporary casual, 1 active full-time
- Laborer II: 6 temporary casual, 2 active full-time
- Labor Foreman I: 2 active full-time
- Labor Foreman I: 2 active full-time
- Naturalist: 6 temporary casual, 1 active full-time
- Receptionist: 1 active full-time
- Security I: 18 temporary casual
- Security II: 3 temporary casual
- Senior Center Coordinator: 2 active full-time
- Stage Technician II: 3 temporary casual
