Along with high winds, Hurricane Laura brought flooding rains to most of Louisiana on Thursday.
In Lafayette Parish, neighborhoods along Chemin Metairie in Youngsville experienced significant amounts of street flooding.
The sight was very reminiscent of flooding that occurred in neighborhoods across the parish and Acadiana during the August 2016 flood.
Water covered most of the road and had already begun to inch up driveways and mailboxes.
KATC's Jordan Lippincott stopped by one neighborhood to survey some of the flooding.
