LAFAYETTE, La. - No one was injured in a Wednesday morning house fire that shut down part of the Evangeline Thwy. in Lafayette.
The Lafayette Fire Dept. responded to the 400 block and Goldman St. at the intersection of NW Evangeline Thwy. around 9:00 am, according to Alton Trahan, spokesperson for the Lafayette Fire Dept.
The Evangeline Thwy. was closed for a short time while the firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated.
