LaFonda, an institution in the city of Lafayette, is closing temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
"To all our Lafonda customers, family & friends: we find ourselves in the same situation as many restaurants in our community; an employee has tested positive for COVID-19," a post on the restaurant's Facebook page states.
"To play our part in keeping ourselves and our community safe, we will be temporarily closed for testing and thorough sanitizing. This is an isolated event, but we need to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our customers and staff."
