Lafayette woman facing looting charges after allegedly taking items from damaged Walgreens

A Lafayette woman is facing looting charges after she allegedly went into a drug store during Hurricane Delta.

Meah Basco is accused of entering a drug store in the 2700 block of Johnston Street after the front door was damaged during the storm.

According to police, Bosco entered the store and took some nonessential items. Police say she left a note and money on the counter before she leaving the store.

While Police were investigating, they say Bosco returned the store with the items and was arrested.
