Lafayette city buses will not run on Mardi Gras Day.
LCG made the announcement on Tuesday, February 18 that Lafayette Transit System will not provide service on Tuesday, February 25.
Those include Daytime, Night Owl and Paratransit services. Approved riders with Paratransit will be able to schedule rides through the program.
Regular scheduled transit services will resume on Wednesday, February 26.
Leading up to Mardi Gras, LTS bus services will be taking deviated routes to avoid barricades along the Lafayette parade route. These deviations have caused delays.
