Lafayette traffic stop uncovers more than $86K in drugs

Three men were arrested after a traffic stop on I-10 East in Lafayette uncovered more than $86,000 in drugs.

Lafayette Police say they stopped a vehicle on I-10 East on Monday, July 29 driven by three men from Baker, Louisiana.

Officers say a search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered 5,676 ML of Promethazine and 3,000 Hydrocodone tablets.

The recovered drugs have a value of more than $86,800, according to the department

Reginald Webb, Quenton Vessel Jr. and Jaleel Mitchell, all of Baker, were arrested and booked on charges of Possession of Schedule II and Possession of Schedule V narcotics.
