Lafayette Police are working a shooting that happened this afternoon.
The victim, who was shot in the face, was treated and released from a local hospital, police say.
The incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. on Evelyn Street, police say.
Medical assistance was provided to the individual prior to being transported to a local hospital.
Once at the hospital, the victim was treated for his injuries and released.
The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
This investigation is ongoing.
