Lafayette Police investigating drive-by shooting on MLK

LAFAYETTE, La. - Police are asking for help with information in solving a drive-by shooting.

On November 5, 2019 at 11:16 pm, Lafayette Police responded to the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in reference to shots fired from a vehicle, according to police.

Upon arrival officers located a 20-year-old male in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical, but stable condition.

At this time no arrests have been made. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
