Lafayette Police investigating drive-by-shooting on North General Marshall Street

LAFAYETTE, La. — Police are investigating a drive-by-shooting in Lafayette.

On February 26, 2021, at 9:00 am, Lafayette Police responded to shots fired in the 100 block of N. General Marshall Street.

The victim was shot several times by a fleeing vehicle and was transported to a local hospital by family members, according to Cpl. Bridgette Dugas, spokesperson for the Lafayette Police Department.

The 33-year-old male victim is being treated for his injuries and currently listed in stable condition.

The suspect vehicle is descried as a dark color sedan. At this time no suspect(s) have been identified. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at (337)232-TIPS.
