The Lafayette Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man they say robbed a local store.
The incident happened on December 5 at about 9:30 p.m. Police say the suspect entered a Dollar General store, pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the cashier. He demanded money from the cash registered. He fled the scene on foot, police say.
The suspect was wearing a black mask and a grey sweat suit.
