The suspect in the Moss St. shooting on Friday has been arrested, according to a spokesperson with the Lafayette Police Department.
Investigators located the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Joseph Broussard, earlier on Friday and he was arrested without incident.
Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1100 block of Moss St. Thursday morning, and when they arrived they located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers initially believed Broussard was barricaded in one of the apartments where the victims were located. SWAT was able to breach the door of the apartment and did not locate him.
Broussard had warrants for his arrest for two counts of attempted second degree murder.
No further details on the arrest are available at this time.
