The Lafayette Police Department's Tactical Narcotics Team seized thousands of pills Monday during a traffic stop.
During the stop, which happened at about 7:30 p.m. Monday, an officer with the team found 1,008 MDMA pills; 4,598 oxycodone pills; 2,392 Lortab pills, and 304 Xanax pills.
This investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
The Tactical Narcotics Team was put in place to combat illegal drug activity within the City of Lafayette, a spokesman said.
