Lafayette Mayor-President requires masks to be worn at Heymann Center

LAFAYETTE, La. — Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory signed an emergency order on Friday that requires all patrons, employees and performers at the Heymann Performing Arts Center to wear a protective face mask at all times.

The order makes an exception only for performers on stage during a performance.

According to the order, now that they Heymann Center has reopened to certain events on a limited basis, those events cannot be held safely unless patrons and performers wear appropriate protective face masks in accordance with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and the Louisiana Department of Health.

Violation of the order may result in removal from the premises of the Heymann Center without a refund.
