Lafayette man arrested for attempted second degree murder

LAFAYETTE, La. — The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested a Lafayette man for attempted second degree murder after a shooting that took place Sunday on Limoges Street.

According to LPSO, deputies responded to an aggravated assault with a firearm in progress Sunday morning at the 100 block of Limoges Street in Lafayette.

Upon arrival, LPSO said deputies located Larry Bob II, 43, of Lafayette.

LPSO said that deputies spoke to the victim who stated that Bob drove up to his residence and shot approximately 3-4 rounds at the residence while the victim was inside.

Bob was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center with one count of attempted second degree murder. His bond is set at $125,000.

A court date for Bob has not yet been set.
