Lafayette Consolidated Government says that Saturday's Household Hazardous Waste Day at Cajun Field has been tentatively rescheduled for the spring of 2021.

The event was scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

LCG says that postponement is necessary because of issues beyond their control with the COVID-19 pandemic and a scheduling conflict with Cajun Field.

A large venue, such as Cajun Field, is needed to hold more than 800 cars and collect 25 tons of hazardous waste.

LCG is asking residents to hold on to their hazardous waste for proper disposal when the event takes place next spring.
