LAFAYETTE, La. — Lafayette Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 1800 block of West University Avenue this morning.
According to the Lafayette Fire Department, the front porch of the dwelling was on fire.
Responding crews quickly extinguished the fire and prevented further damage to the home.
All occupants exited the home without injury.
The fire was caused by an improperly discarded cigarette.
