A Lafayette ER doctor has reunited with his family following a three-month battle with COVID-19.

Dr. Grant Lashley contracted the coronavirus in April and then suffered a stroke. He was on a ventilator for 39 days.

Lashley spent weeks in a Houston hospital, his family by his side. While in rehab, ABC documented his recovery. Watch their coverage above.

He returned home on Friday.

KATC's Chris Welty caught up with Dr. Lashley as he is settling back in at home. Watch that story tonight at 10.
