LAFAYETTE COUNCIL MEETINGS RESCHEDULED UPCOMING MEETINGS AND ITEMS — Because a quorum of the Lafayette City Council members could not be reached, the October 6, 2020, Special Joint Council meeting of the Lafayette Parish Council and the Lafayette City Council scheduled for 5:30 pm, as well as the Lafayette City Council scheduled for 6:00 pm were canceled, according to a release from LCG.
The agenda items (resolutions and ordinances) scheduled for consideration on these meetings will be placed on the October 20th meeting agendas.
Due to the November 3rd Election date falling on what would have been a Council meeting date, the Lafayette Council meetings for the months of November and December are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of those months, instead of the typical Tuesdays.
The November and December meeting dates are as follows:
- November: Wednesday, November 4th
Wednesday, November 18th
- December: Wednesday, December 2nd
Wednesday, December 16th
