Lafayette Consolidated Government updated residents of the parish ahead of Hurricane Laura's landfall.
On Wednesday at 8:00 pm, a curfew went into affect and continues until 6:00 a.m.
LCG expects strong winds to push through the parish and anyone out could be at risk. If there is anyone needing assistance residents are asked to call 911.
