The Lafayette community is invited to stop by Freedom World Ministry on Tuesday to pick up fresh produce and milk.

Pastor Lawrence Levy says that the items are in excess due to continued recovery efforts for those affected by Hurricane Laura.

In order to make sure these items do not go to waste, the church has partnered with Borden's Dairy and the United Cajun Navy to hand out 1,500 boxes of produce and 2,000 gallons of milk on September 15.

From 9 am until 1 pm, anyone in the Lafayette community can stop by the church at 212 Delord Street.

Items will be placed in cars by volunteers. Levy says that drivers will be able to remain in their vehicles to allow for proper social distancing guidelines.

The items will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis.
