The LA Joint Task Force 1 will hold a press conference in Lafayette on Monday, August 24.
Beginning at 3:00 pm, the group will discuss preparations ahead of tropical weather in Lafayette Parish.
The group is coordinated by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office and comprised of members of the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association (Lafayette and Grant Parish Sheriff's Offices), USAR Region 8 (Ouachita, Monroe, West Monroe and Ruston Fire Departments) and the Shreveport Fire Department.
