A contractor doing work on Kaliste Saloom has again cut a fiber line, causing an outage for customers from Lafayette to New Iberia, Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter says.
In a Facebook post, the mayor said that the damage has affected cell service and home service.
"Our AT&T liaison tells me that they are waiting on contractors to arrive so they can start excavation and repairs however realistically with the size of the fiber indicated they are looking at 5-6pm," the mayor posted.
