LAFAYETTE, La. - The Junior League of Lafayette hosted a ribbon cutting Thursday for their diaper bank.
League members decided to open a bank after seeing a need for diapers among low-income families especially after the devastating flooding of 2016.
Junior League has done community work since 1957.
"We realized after the flood of 2016 that our community did not have a diaper bank and this was a service that we as trained volunteers could provide our community," Angelle Adams, Junior League of Lafayette.
