Jazz and Zydeco brunch raises funds for students headed to college

LAFAYETTE — At the UL Student Union Ballroom, a organization held a fundraiser to help students seeking higher education.

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's Eta Chi Omega Chapter, on Sunday held their 5th Annual Pink Pizzazz Jazz and Zydeco Brunch. The fundraiser brunch helps raise money for area students and community services project.

"The Importance of Community Service its important to give back and because of their generosity we will be able to give thousands of dollars in scholarships," said Dr. Marilyn Marshall, President of Eta Chi Omega.

Eta Chi Omega members collaborate with local high school students to help students navigate the college admissions process, complete applications and search for the best schools and scholarship packages.
