The Intersection of Ambassador and Bertrand Drive now open following its closure Monday morning.
That closure, caused by a low hanging traffic light, backed up traffic at the intersection.
The intersection was closed due to a wire hazard.
Corporal Bridgette Dugas with the Lafafayette Police Department said that the top of an 18-wheeler clipped the light causing the the downed light. The traffic signal where Ambassador and Bertrand merge was hanging lower than normal affecting traffic flow.
