DOTD reports that I-10 East is closed at North University Avenue due to debris.
The Lafayette Fire Department reports that they are on scene cleaning cement from the roadway. Not timeframe was given on when the road will be back open.
the closure began at around 1:00 pm on Friday. Louisiana State Polcie say that cews are on the way to clear the highway.
Congestion from the incident has reached Ambassador Caffery Parkway. Drivers are asked to use another route.
