A woman who is fighting COVID-19 in ICU isolation at Lafayette General Medical Center has been receiving roses everyday from her husband.
A nurse at the hospital posted a picture showing the patient's room full of flowers. She said they were able to call the husband last week over video chat. During the call, every nurse on the unit was holding the vases near his wife, showing him that all the flowers were delivered safely.
He has sent flowers now 12 days in a row.
"His positive perspective makes our nurses’ day as much as his wife’s. Here’s to love in the time of COVID," LGH's post reads.
