Lafayette Consolidated Government says that storm debris pickup from hurricanes Laura and Delta is transitioning.

According to LCG, the specialized trucks outfitted to collect debris have completed two passes throughout Lafayette Parish and are no longer collecting debris.

They ask that residents who have not yet hauled debris to the curb, or those who believe their pickup was missed, call 337-291-8529 to request collection. They also urge residents who still have debris, to move it to the curb as soon as possible.

Collection is expected to be completed within 30 days.

LCG says that Hurricane Laura left behind 31,222 cubic yards of debris and Hurricane Delta, 387,670 cubic yards.
