6th Annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony held in Lafayette

6TH ANNUAL WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA CEREMONY HELD IN LAFAYETTE — LAFAYETTE, La. - Fountain Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery in Lafayette hosted its 6th annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony on Saturday.

Wreaths Across America is a non-profit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony held at Arlington National Cemetery, with the mission of remembering and honoring military, so that the individuals who served to protect will never be forgotten.

Remembrance wreaths were placed at the headstones of fallen veterans.

"We put wreaths by fallen soldiers or our veterans that passed away," explained Colonel Robert Lebon. "It's just to recognize them and remember them, and let the family know that we haven't forgotten about them."
