LAFAYETTE, La. - A group of first responders in Lafayette were honored on Labor Day for their service.
More than 800 Olive Garden restaurants nationwide connected with their local emergency workers to make sure they got a hot meal for lunch.
"We are very grateful for businesses that bring us stuff whether food or appreciation," said Sgt. Juliet Ster, Public Affairs, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. "We are out here on days when most people are home resting."
