Gov Workforce Plan SLCC
LAFAYETTE, La. - Governor John Bel Edwards was in Lafayette Friday learning more about some of the programs at South Louisiana Community College (SLCC).
He met with high school seniors from SLCC's dual enrollment high school, Early College Academy.
"That gives the students a head start they actually get to graduate with a high school diploma and an associates degree. Some do decide to got a four year institution and some decide to find positoins with that career path that they chose for their career path that they chose for their associates."
He also highlighted programs like LED Fast Start and visited the Center for Minority Excellence.
