A Lafayette group has set up a GoFundMe with two aims.

The first aim of the fundraiser is to help local restaurants by buying food - and the second aim is support frontline healthcare workers by delivering the food to them.

"With approval from area Hospitals, and using funds raised with the assistance of Lafayette Ladies Tennis League (LLTL), Healthcare Heroes will be provided a special meal delivered to their work place. Meals will be purchased from local restaurants," the GoFundMe states. "In Acadiana, we support our Own! Currently, Opelousas General, as well as Our Lady of Lourdes have approved our plan, and will accept meals for their staff, primarily ER and ICU personnel."

The group estimates that each delivery will cost about $600.
