LAFAYETTE, La. - A fundraiser has been set up for a man who lost his home to a fire.
On August 29, firefighters responded to a small camper fire off of Verot School Road. The camper was completely destroyed, according to Alton Trahan, spokesperson for the Lafayette Fire Department.
Alton Woods said he had drifted off to sleep on his birthday and woke up to smoke in his home.
No one was hurt during the fire.
