A free virtual town hall event addressing the current state of Acadiana's opioid crisis will be held on Tuesday.

Beginning in January, KATC-3 and The Acadiana Advocate, are hosting a series of town hall discussions focused on Acadiana's growing opioid epidemic.

"State of the Opioid Epidemic" will be held live on Facebook. Hear from local experts discuss staggering statistics, opioid management support and the critical challenges facing the healthcare system in Acadiana

The first event will be completely virtual and held on January 12 at Noon featuring local experts Parish Coroner Dr. Kenneth Odinet, Judge Thomas Duplantier, and Lafayette City Marshal Reggie Thomas.
