An adoption event in Lafayette was held on Thursday.
Foster Friends held their Christmas event for foster children who are eligible for adoption. Presents were given out to the children.
Children had the chance to meet Santa Claus and Olaf from Frozen.
The event was held at Elevation Station in Broussard and was free and open to the public.
Danielle Hines, a Foster Friends volunteer, explained, "All the foster children in Acadiana that are looking to be adopted get to celebrate here. To celebrate the holidays, the community has purchased gifts for them and to play with other foster children."
