The former Metro Bingo building on the NE Evangeline Thruway has been sold.

According to the Advocate the building was purchased for 1.07 million dollars, records show.

The old Bingo hall closed its doors in February 2019.

The paper reports that Real estate broker Ken Simeral with Simeral Properties bought the property and that a demolition permit was issued Thursday for the site.

They say Simeral will lease the building and land but did not announce a tenant.
