Lafayette Parish residents will have the chance to help those in the community when they head to the polls on Tuesday.
The Rotary Club of Lafayette is hosting an Election Day Food Drive to benefit Food Net.
On November 3, from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m., voters wishing to donate can bring non-perishable food items and pantry staples with them.
Donation boxes will be available at every voting precinct in Lafayette Parish.
"There's always a big turnout, especially this year there will be a big turnout for the presidential election, so it just made sense that when you're coming to vote let's do
something for the community," explained Todd Citron, General Manager at Hub City Ford. "With all the hurricanes we've had and are having, the community sure needs our help. It's a great way to help out."
