BROUSSARD, La. — Firefighters in Lafayette Parish are responding to their third house fire in one week.
The fire on Clara Street in Broussard has since been brought under control.
According to the Lafayette Fire Department, no injuries have been reported. This comes amid warnings from the State Fire Marshal's Office concerning the high number of house fires being reported state-wide.
On Friday, Broussard Mayor Ray Bourque posted that the structure could not be saved, but the houses on either side were protected and no one was hurt thanks to the efforts of local firefighters.
