Several dogs were rescued from a truck fire Monday night.
The Scott Fire Department says flames could be seen coming from under the vehicle on the I-10 Westbound on-ramp in Lafayette city limits.
The fire was contained by Scott Firefighters who also say they managed to rescue several small dogs from a kennel in the bed of the truck.
A fuel line issue reportedly caused the flames to intensify and slow the progress of extinguishing the fire completely.
With the help of Lafayette Fire Department, firefighters used foam and a water tanker to help bring the flames under control.
A Lafayette Hazmat team was on scene to stop any remaining fuel from leaking.
Firefighters say that no one was injured.
