Two people have been killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Evangeline Thruway Frontage Road Saturday night.
Lafayette Police spokesperson Sgt. Wayne Griffin confirmed that an adult female and a juvenile male, believed to be mother and son, were struck and killed while walking across the Thruway Frontage Road near Citi Trends (2000 block) around 8:45 p.m.
According to Griffin, one victim was pronounced deceased on scene and one died at a nearby hospital. The driver did stay on scene; no word if the driver was injured.
