Family of Kao Wokoma gather in Girard Park for prayer service

The family of Kao Wokoma were out in Girard Park on Tuesday to honor his memory.

Family and friends gathered with balloons and signs for a prayer service. Wokoma's sister Darcas Wokoma led the group in prayer and remembrance of her brother.

Many wore shirts with the message "Fly High Kao" and held white and blue balloons.

Darcas has been the family's spokesperson,holding a press conference on Monday afternoon to give an update on her brother's death and the family's fight for answers.

Kao's body was pulled from a coulee along Hillside Drive in Lafayette on Friday but LCG workers who were cleaning the area. Darcus relayed that Lafayette Police indicated that her brother was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
They are currently investigating the incident as a homicide.

Family asks that anyone with information come forward. They are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in connection with Kao's death.
