Family members are providing new details to KATC regarding a shooting that occurred on Tuesday near the intersection of Dulles and Westgate Drives in Scott.
One person was transported to an area hospital, and the victim's daughter told KATC Wednesday that she is "doing really well."
Family members say the suspect, who was the victim's husband, is deceased; he has been identified by the Lafayette Parish Coroner's Office as Robert W. Greene of Scott.
The victim was shot twice in the arm, and the bullet traveled through her arm and into her chest, her daughter explained. She added that her mother had multiple surgeries to repair a shattered bone in her arm, but is expected to make a full recovery.
Scott Police have not confirmed a shooting took place or given any details on the incident despite multiple requests.
