Families Helping Families of Acadiana hosted their annual "It's a Christmas Extravaganza" today.
The event was held at the Comeaux Recreation Center.
The non-profit teams up with community partners to host the event for people with disabilities and their families.
There were games, activities, snacks and a visit from Santa Claus.
"It's just an outing like I said, just to see the people come in and smile and just have a good place to spend the afternoon," said Brad Farmer, executive director of the Acadiana Area Human Services District. "It's just very rewarding just to watch the people enjoy themselves here."
