One of the more common damages seen in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura is fallen trees. During the storm, a tree fell on West Bayou Parkway in Lafayette, which could be common; but where the tree ended up is unique.

At West Bayou Parkway and Marilyn Streets, a large tree fell on the property line of two families' homes. No one was injured in the incident, but the tree landed in between two fences on the property. The gap was the perfect spot - "it was almost like it was directed."

The tree is blocking the street, but LUS will head out there and clear up the tree and nearby downed power lines.
