Duson Police are now strictly enforcing social distancing regulations within town limits.

The enforcement will be in compliance with Governor John Bel Edwards and Mayor-President Josh Guillory orders for social distancing because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. This includes social gatherings where people are not appropriately spaced out.

A few examples of the social gathering that will be enforced are birthday parties, garage sales, weddings, and baby showers.

"Now I am Cajun and I am Catholic and I do understand Good Friday is only 11 days away and will fall under these orders, the Duson Police will be working and will issuing summons or warrants to anyone who congregates in gatherings that are not within the guidelines of the orders." said Chief KP Gibson

Duson Police will begin the enforcement immediately.
